This is a sponsored blog post but as always, all opinions are my own. Thank you for the support!
My daughter just turned three and the past two years we have done Disneyland for her birthday. This year we wanted to switch it up and had heard nothing but great things about Legoland! We knew we needed to find a Legoland hotel in Carlsbad for our trip!
Whenever we go to amusement parks, we always stay the night at a nearby hotel. Staying the night prior is a must for us so the kids can sleep in and we won’t have a long drive. Staying the night of is an added bonus! It’s nice to be able to go back to a hotel room and relax instead of driving two tired kids back home.
When we booked Legoland, we chose Hilton Garden Inn in Carlsbad Beach for our stay. Keep reading for the 5 reasons this Legoland hotel is a must in Carlsbad!
So while we chose Hilton Garden Inn specifically for it’s proximity to Legoland, that is not the only reason to stay! This hotel is a beautiful beach front property. You can step outside of the lobby and you are directly across the street from Carlsbad Beach. It is beautiful year round!
If you are heading to Legoland, you are about a mile away. It took us 5 minutes each morning to get from the hotel to Legoland parking lot. Talk about convenient! It definitely is not walking distance though and you will need to drive.
If you are visiting the area for the first time, Hilton Garden Inn is surrounded by shops and restaurants. The Carlsbad Premium Outlets are less than a mile away and one of our favorite spots to shop and walk around.
Onto the accommodations; just look at these pictures. Not only are the rooms spacious and beautiful (and thank goodness for no carpet), but the property itself has so much to offer. The courtyard is extremely spacious and filled with seating areas, fireplace, and games on the grass.
There is also a restaurant on site in the lobby, Coast 6450, that offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. We enjoyed happy hour, dinner, desserts and breakfast here and everything we had was delicious! Their hand-crafted drinks are amazing too.
I have to take a moment to mention how accommodating and courteous the staff was. Our kids were greeted by the staff right when we walked in and they gave my daughter a coloring kit for her birthday. Talk about going the extra step, right?! Every time we walked in the lobby, there were multiple workers greeting us and asking if we needed anything.
And lastly, the staff at Coast 6450 were SO extremely nice. If you are a Mom with little ones, you know how chaotic eating out at a restaurant can be. And after long days at Legoland, our toddler and infant were chaotic, to say the least. Our server was not bothered at all and instead made sure to keep us stocked up on French fries for them and coloring goodies!
3. The Views
You HAVE to book an ocean view room if you stay at Hilton Garden Inn! Look at those stunning views! I loved waking up in the morning and opening our curtains up to see the ocean. Even in the rain, it was stunning. And I can’t forget to mention how beautiful sunsets were from our room!
4. Family Friendly Fun
As a Mom with a toddler and infant, I only choose hotels that are family friendly. There is nothing worse than feeling like you have to be stuck in your hotel room instead of exploring around. Hilton Garden Inn has a spacious lobby with several games including Jenga and Tic Tac Toe.
The pool area would be perfect for summer! It’s a gated area with a pool, spa and plenty of tables and chairs. Like I mentioned above, the courtyard is extremely spacious and right next to it is a large grass area with lawn games. My kids loved corn hole and the giant connect four.
The last thing worth mentioning is the price point. This hotel is an affordable option for families traveling to Carlsbad. I promise you won’t be disappointed by choosing Hilton Garden Inn for your next stay!
